A wool blending board built for fiber artists who want smooth, consistent results. Perfect for preparing wool for needle felting, wet felting, or spinning.
The most important number on any blending board is the TPI — teeth per inch. This board runs at 140 TPI, which sits on the finer end of the spectrum. That means it creates smooth, lofty batts and rolags with minimal texture, and blends colors thoroughly in a single pass rather than leaving streaks or patches. If you've used a coarser board and ended up with uneven results, the difference is immediately noticeable.
What's included
140 TPI Blending Board (12.6" × 10.6" / 32cm × 27cm) — sturdy build with non-skid backing, works on your lap or a tabletop.
Blending Surface (9.8" × 9.8" / 25cm × 25cm) — carding cloth designed specifically for even blending.
Blending Brush — smooths and presses fibers into the board for consistent layering.
Two Dowels (15.7" / 40cm each) — for rolling off finished rolags or batts.
How to use
1. Apply fiber onto the board using the blending brush.
2. Layer and smooth fibers evenly across the surface.
3. Roll off using the dowels — adjust tightness depending on whether you want rolags or batts.
The carding cloth handles wool, synthetic fibers, and add-ins like silk, feathers, or fabric scraps. The nickel-plated wire teeth are fine enough for color blending but durable enough for regular use.
